Getting here
The three things everyone asks: the car, the airport, the bags.
By car
Paid street parking on Piazza Libertà or the streets around it — the blue lines. It is the realistic option and it is a few minutes on foot from the house.
If you would rather not leave the car on the street, there is a private guarded garage. Ask when you book, it needs arranging in advance.
The old town is a restricted traffic zone. Do not follow the navigator into the alleys: park first, walk after.
By train
Ten minutes on foot from Bari Centrale. No transport needed, and the walk crosses the whole centre.
By plane
Twenty-five minutes by taxi from Karol Wojtyła airport.
A private transfer can be arranged, and on the morning you leave we can book a taxi for you.
Luggage
Luggage storage on request, useful if you arrive before two or leave late.
Worth knowing: there are two short flights of steps down to the door. Easy, but heavy suitcases are heavy.
